The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is part of the Museums at 18th & Vine complex, located at 1616 East 18th Street. The complex is on the north side of East 18th Street, across the street from the Gem Theater and Historic Lincoln Building, and takes the entire block from Vine Street, north to John "Buck" O'Neil Way (17th Street Terrace), and east to Highland. The complex stands one block east of The Paseo Boulevard, 10 minutes east of downtown Kansas City. Public entrances are located on 18th Street and "Buck" O'Neil Way.

The complex features the Blue Room, American Jazz Museum, Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and Peterson Visitors Center.

*From Interstate 70 traveling west (from St. Louis, Columbia, eastern suburbs in Missouri) or east (from Kansas), look for the posted signs and take 18th Street exit (#4B), then turn WEST (LEFT) on 18th Street, travel 1.2 Miles to 1616 East 18th Street

Downtown Kansas City
Travel to Grand Avenue proceed south to 18th Street. Travel east on 18th Street past Troost Avenue and past The Paseo. Continue one block east past Vine Street. The main entrance stands on the north (left) side of the street.

Country Club Plaza/Midtown/Crown Center
Travel to Main Street and proceed north for several blocks—through Midtown to Pershing Road (across from Union Station). Turn east (right) on Pershing one block (past the Westin Crown Center Hotel) to Grand Avenue. Turn north (left) on Grand, proceed to 18th Street. Turn east (right) on 18th Street past Troost Avenue and past The Paseo. Continue one block east past Vine Street. The main entrance- stands on the north (left) side of the street.

From Northwest/North/Northeast (St. Joseph, Mo., Leavenworth-, KS., Platte Co., Mo., Kansas City International Airport, North Kansas City, Mo., Liberty, Mo.)
Travel south on I-29 (from Northwest/airport) or I-35 (from the Northeast-). Both freeways will converge- while crossing the Missouri River. Exit in the far LEFT lane at The Paseo. Continue- south (straight ahead) over 12 blocks to 18th Street Turn east (left) travel one block past Vine.

From Southwest (Johnson Co., Kansas)
Travel north on I-35 to I-70 east (to St. Louis), through downtown Kansas City. Exit at The Paseo. Travel south (right) on Paseo past Truman Road few blocks to 18th Street. Turn east (left) on 18th Street travel one block past Vine. The main entrance stands on the north (left) side of the street.

From South (Grandview, Mo., Lee’s Summit, Mo.)
Travel to Highway 71 (Bruce R. Watkins Memorial Drive), proceed north to The Paseo exit. Turn north (right) and travel a few blocks to 18th Street. Turn east (right) past Vine Street.
