Join the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum for a “special edition” of Baseball Book Notes on Tuesday, June, 15, 2021 at 11:00 am CST. The museum welcomes back one of its most popular guests, Larry Tye, author of the bestselling Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend. The book first appeared in 2009 and the museum hosted Tye for a discussion and book signing. Tye will join the museum again, in person, with Greg Echlin of NPR/KCUR radio serving as moderator. Program and book signing will be held on the Field of Legends exhibition area.

Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend will be available for sale at the Extra Inning Museum Store.
The event is free with your paid admission to the museum. Seating space will be limited. RSVP’s are strongly encouraged to nlbmuseum@gmail.com or call 816-221-1920.
The program will also broadcast live on the NLBM Facebook and YouTube Channel.

Museum Closure & Holiday Hours

In recognition of the Juneteenth Holiday the NLBM offices will be closed and the Exhibit and Gift Shop will be open from 10:00AM – 3:00PM on Wednesday, June 19. Normal hours  will resume on Thursday, June 20th
