The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum will host a FREE screening of the powerful and inspirational film, “The Other Boys of Summer!” The critically acclaimed documentary, narrated by legendary actress, Cicely Tyson, and directed by filmmaker Lauren Meyer, is the story of racism, segregation and Civil Rights in America told through the lives of Negro League baseball players who refused to allow that America to kill their love of her National Pastime. The film features exclusive interviews with the men who played alongside of Jackie Robinson.

Q&A session with Meyer and NLBM President, Bob Kendrick, will take place immediately after the film.

Museum Closure & Holiday Hours

In recognition of the Juneteenth Holiday the NLBM offices will be closed and the Exhibit and Gift Shop will be open from 10:00AM – 3:00PM on Wednesday, June 19. Normal hours  will resume on Thursday, June 20th
