This Agreement is by and between a Food Vendor and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
Food Vendor will:
Pay a fee of $800.00 for the right to be a food vendor at the Heart of America Hot Dog Festival.
Payment is due upon signing of this agreement, which must be completed by FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 2025.
Make check payable to the NLBM. All fees are non-refundable. This is a Rain/Shine event. No rain/weather refunds will be granted.
Provide a quality food product that is staffed by clean, professional and courteous personnel. Responsible for keeping immediate area clean.
All food vendors must provide Product Liability Insurance for sale or distribution of any products (i.e. food, beverages etc.) at the event. Each vendor (an entity in the business of making a profit) must provide a certificate of insurance which provides for $100,000 and must name the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum as an Additional Insured.
Inspectors from the Kansas City, MO Health Dept and the Kansas City MO Fire Dept will be on site to inspect the festival grounds and vendors. To meet inspection, you must have your truck in the designated place and ready for inspection by 1:00pm on the day of the event. You can sell for as long as you wish during festival hours starting at 3:00pm. Your truck cannot be moved from the grounds until 10:30pm.
Vendors must bring their driver’s license or State issued identification.
Ensure that grease and abrasives will not be disposed of on event property except in designated garbage dumpsters. Keep trash around immediate area clean and properly disposed.
Agree to indemnify fully and hold harmless the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum employees and agents against all damage claims, liabilities and causes of action of every kind and nature.
Responsible for collecting all of your sales, making cash change and reporting all applicable sales tax.
Vendor and their employees shall use every measure to protect festival site from all damages. Responsible for damage caused by him or her to buildings and grounds.
Vendors are prohibited from selling any carbonated beverages or water at the event.
Failure to meet requirements may lead to removal from the event and no refunds will be provided.
All appropriate Fire Extinguisher equipment and No Smoking signs must be on site at your booth the entire time of the event.
Please make all requests for power needs at the time the contract is submitted. The festival will do its best to assist with power, but cannot guarantee access to generators. Vendors must provide their own electrical cords and must ensure that these cords are not shorter than 100 foot in total length (1-100′ cord or 2 -50′ cords), adequately rated (12 gauge for 20 amp outlet/10 gauge for 30 amp outlet) and UL approved for outdoor use. Frayed, spliced or damaged cords will not be allowed. Vendors are responsible for either taping or matting electrical cords. All such matting and/or taping is subject to inspection and approval by KCMO Fire Department who may require changes as necessary to meet safety standards.
Vendors must limit themselves to one vehicle within the event site, unload the equipment/product and remove the vehicle prior to setup.
Professional behavior and dress is required.
