Buck O’Neil Education and Research Center (BOERC), an important expansion project that will be housed in the Paseo YMCA in Kansas City, MO. It was in that historic building that Andrew “Rube” Foster established the Negro Leagues in 1920.
Does the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum offer bar service for facility rentals?
Yes. Bar service is provided through the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum legally under a liquor license through the Kansas City Missouri permitting process.
Is there a deposit to hold an inquired date?
Yes. A The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum requires a $250.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve the available date requested.
Can I make arrangements to see the facility?
Yes. A scheduled time can be arranged to visit the space for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
Does the NLBM have a preferred catering list?
Yes! The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum has a preferred catering list that can be provided upon booking.
Can more than one person reach out regarding the inquiry of the rental?
No. The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum would prefer one main point of contact that handles all event planning including billing on behalf of the organization or company requesting facility usage.
Can we bring our own alcoholic beverages?
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum handles all bar service through our own liquor license provided by the City of Kansas City Missouri. Outside organizations or companies.
Can we consider a catering company that’s not on the NLBM’s approved list?
A licensed caterer with credentials has to be on-site.
