All Groups of 25 people or more should schedule a reservation time to visit the museum. With a reservation, your group is eligible for a discounted rate. All groups should designate an individual to handle admission fees and schedules. Please call the museum for details. Please note that your reservation is not finalized until you receive a confirmation notice from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
To qualify for group rates, advanced reservations must be made at least five business days before your visit. After your exhibit experience, please enjoy time inside the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s Extra Innings Gift Shop.

Due to new 18th Street Pedestrian Mall Construction outside of the main entrance to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, please be advised vehicles may park at the Soutwest corner of 18th & Paseo Parking Lot. Also, additional free parking can be located in the behind the museum. All museum visitors can walk south on Vine from 17th Terrace; and enter either through the rear entrance or the front entrance of the Museums on 18th Street. The Museum at 18th & Vine also has a wheelchair for use as needed that can be checked out at the Security Desk upon entry.

Can I take pictures or record videos?
Photography and video recording is allowed in the NLBM with no camera flash.

Food, drink, and chewing gum are not allowed inside the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum gallery.
Where can I park?
On-street parking is available near the museum. Visitors can park on either side of 18th Street, on the south side of “Buck” O’Neil Way (17th Street Terrace) or in public parking lots near the Gregg Community Center (just north of the museums) at 18th and Woodland (one block east) or 18th & Vine (one half block west). All Large buses and for group tours should park and have passengers enter through the north entrance on “Buck” O’Neil Way or in the Parking lots between the NLBM and the KC Urban Youth Academy.
Is the museum accessible?
Wheelchairs are available free of charge. Strollers are permitted in the museum.
Closed captioning for the hearing impaired is available on the main Negro Leagues Baseball Museum exhibit film.
Are service animals welcome at the NLBM?
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum welcomes service dogs in their roles as service animals. All other animals and pets are prohibited from being inside the City of Kansas City, Missouri facilities. Please contact the Museum to allow us the opportunity to prepare and make arrangements for your service pet prior to your visit.

Can I purchase tickets online or in person for the NLBM?
Individuals can purchase tickets online or in person inside the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s Extra Innings Gift Shop. Admission tickets are valid for up to 30 days from the time of purchase.
If I’m traveling, can I bring my luggage with me to the NLBM before heading to the airport?
Please check in your luggage at the main security desk upon entry, and you can arrange to temporarily leave your luggage inside the coat closet.
Can I use my ticket from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to visit the American Jazz Museum?
Admission Tickets purchased for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Tour only does not include admission to the American Jazz Museum which is housed in the same building.
Do I need to buy a ticket to visit the Extra Innings Gift Shop?
Admission is not required to shop at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Extra Innings Gift Shop Store. Operational hours can be found on our Contact page.
Does the Museum offer Wi-Fi service?
Yes, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum provides complimentary Guest Wi-Fi service.
Is there an ATM at the NLBM?
Yes, there is an ATM located outside the main entrance to the NLBM’s Extra Innings Gift Shop. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
