The NLBM, in partnership with its licensee, Dreams Fulfilled and the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame, announced revealed the 30 Negro League players and executives who would make up the All-Centennial Bobblehead team. The series of officially licensed, limited edition bobbleheads are being released to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Negro National League in 2020. The Negro Leagues were established by Rube Foster in a meeting that took place in the Paseo YMCA in Kansas City, MO in 1920. The goal of the series is to honor and celebrate the league and its players, many of whom were never honored with a bobblehead.

A Kickstarter Campaign raised more than $80,000 to support the project. Satchel Paige was the first release of the series. Other figures will be released beginning in March of 2019 and culminating on Feb. 13, 2020. Each bobblehead in the series will be individually numbered to 2,020 and come in a collector’s box with a “back story” of the player.
